Inside of a private studio of E-Wrestling News, there are two couches set across from each other with a table between both of them. The lighting is well placed for the center of the studio where the center of attraction will be ; Denzel Porter sits on one couch and is dressed professionally. Denzel opens with a greeting.
Denzel Porter: Thank you for tuning in on this day, and I do have a special guest here with me: a star of Project Honor, XWF, and, of course, one of many more places; she's also one of the most talented wrestlers in the industry Please give Lexi Gold a warm welcome ladies and gentlemen.
Lexi Gold walks in and enters the frame, wearing a beautiful gold gown that hugged her curvaceous body, and matching heels. Her hair was styled in tight curls. She smiled upon seeing Denzel, took a seat on the couch across from him and crossed her leg, then looked at him, honored to be in his presence and thankful he made the time to interview her.
Denzel Porter smiles at the camera as Lexi Gold takes her seat.
Denzel Porter: I'm glad you could join me today, Lexi , I know how busy of an important person you are to the business, and I'm just happy to sit across such an excellent breakout star in the industry.
Lexi Gold: It's my honor to be here. I know you are quite the busy man yourself, so thank you, sir, for your time and I hope I can answer any of your questions you may have for me.
Denzel Porter: Thank you for the compliment it means a lot but let's dive on in and tell the people watching how you first got your start in pro wrestling?
Lexi Gold: I first started training to become a wrestler after I graduated from high school. Did that for awhile, then eventually I transitioned into a manager role. In 2019, I found Alpha Wrestling and at the time my boyfriend who is also a wrestler was in talks with the owner, and eventually we signed with them where I resumed my role as a manager and managed him for a bit. It was nice to step away from competition and focus on a different role.
Denzel Porter: I don't think Ive ever had the pleasure of interviewing someone that does both. Can you tell me which role you enjoy more when it comes to being a manager or a wrestler?
Lexi Gold: That is a tough question. I feel both are great learning experiences, but for me, nothing is better than getting in the ring and competing. I don't care if it's a sold out show, or not, when Lexi Gold is on the card you can expect everything poured into that ring.
She smiles and brushes her hair back, happy with the way the interview is going so far.
Denzel Porter: I've definitely seen the passion you've had since I started following you back in OCW, you've definitely grown since then and had some incredible moments.
Denzel looks down at his notes for a second.
Denzel Porter: Tell me what has been a standout moment since then?
Lexi Gold: Thank you for the support. It means a lot to me. People have their own opinions on OCW, but I had a great time while I was there, and appreciate the opportunity I was given, but to go back to your question there are so many standout moments I can list. I think one of them for me was competing in my first ever Snake Pit Death Match last year for Alpha Wrestling. It sounds crazy on paper, but even crazier taking part in it. Although I came up short in the match, I was pretty happy with how it went, despite someone eating my actual snake, but if you asked me if I would do it again, the answer is yes. The other two answers might be pretty obvious, and that is winning both the Ambition of Honor Championship and the Shut Up and Fight Championship. For a while there, I was struggling to capture gold there, but I didn't let that affect me too much, and instead I continued to work extremely hard and changed up my workout routine, then it wasn't until this year when I felt like my work paid off. Looking back on it, it is not only humbling, but also mind-blowing at the same time and I appreciate the people that believed in me and helped me along the way and I hope that I continue to make everyone proud and inspired by everything I do.
Denzel Porter: Well I can say for certain I was very proud of your growth and will love to see more of you going forward but speaking of going forward, what's next on your list as you move forward with your wrestling career?
She clears her throat and fixes her dress, then continues.
Lexi Gold: Just continue to learn and evolve in the ring. I've been learning a lot from my peers and those closest to me, including my boyfriend Elijah Martin, who is an active wrestler as well. His knowledge and advice he has given to me when it comes to this business has been really helpful and I love him for that and also appreciative of him lending a hand for me. As far as the future is concerned, I could see myself potentially becoming like a trainer, or like a motivational speaker and help those who are trying to go down the similar path as I did. That would be a nice way to give back to people.
Denzel Porter: I'm a real fan of Elijah Martin and everything he does in XWF, I now know I need to update you two as a couple on my list.
Denzel laughs a little.
Denzel Porter: Now, it's lovely that you are thinking about being a trainer or a motivational speaker to help give back to the community. Still, I must ask, are there any wrestlers that interest you in a match before you make that change?
Lexi Gold: The list is simply too long to mention, but there are two names that been catching my eye in most recent weeks, and I made mention of their names before, that's Candice Wolf and Larry Tact both of which are super talented and I hope I have the opportunity to face them both separately whether that means me coming to their company they compete it or vice versa. I am game either way. I just want to share the ring with the very best.
Denzel looks impressed with the names she's mention as he writes them down
Denzel Porter: Wow I'm very familiar with those two right there and it's gets me, and I'm sure the fans are excited to think about a Tact vs. Gold match or Wolf vs. Gold. That level of excitement would break the meter. I mean I can't even tell how much I would pay to see those matches go down, one of these matches just might take place at The DPI next year, but enough with me rambling let's me ask is there anything else you would like the fans to know about you before I let you get back to you glorious life?
Lexi Gold: That could be a possibility. I am bummed I didn't sign up to your Invitational when it was announced, but mark my words, next one you can bet my name will be there. For now, though, I think we covered just about everything. I know right now I wrestle in several promotions and I just want to thank those that tune into them and watch me. It's been a hell of a ride. So grateful if you have stuck with me through it all.
Denzel Porter: I'm sure the fans have appreciated your journey and will continue to tune in wherever you go, I've enjoyed sitting down with you, and getting to know about Lexi Gold, but that's all the time we have everyone I'll see you next time for another BreakingNews Interview.
Lexi thanks him for the interview, then gets off the sofa and gives him a hug before turning to leave.
